ViewPoint: How Edge Cloud and Other Disruptive Technologies Transform the Cloud Market
OTR Global’s Director of Network Communications, hosted a ViewPoint® teleconference on how edge computing is disrupting the cloud market with the CEO of a technology company, that pioneered hybrid edge cloud computing. The discussion revolved around the impact of edge technology on cloud consumption, privacy and cost, next-generation app development and privacy and data security trends.
Edge computing is done near or at the source of the data instead of relying on the cloud or dozens of data centers, which can significantly improve costs and application performance.
OTR’s Network Communications team is one of five teams that make up the larger 45+ person TMT research team, which conducts more than 4,500 source interviews annually in 12 countries. In 2020, the TMT team had 60+ companies under its core coverage.
