INSTITUTIONAL EQUITY SALES ASSOCIATE

THE ROLE
The institutional equity sales associate will work with the San Francisco based sales team to act as sales coverage to current OTR clients. This will entail daily interactions with clients regarding OTR’s product, chaperoning OTR editors and research personnel into clients, attending client events on regular basis. This role will also involve prospecting for new clients.   Salary plus bonus.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
This person will have primary responsibility for certain institutional clients providing those clients with OTR’s research, research calls, events and interaction.  Will also include backing up the sales team with database reporting and communicating with the NYC based team coordinating intra region editor travel.

PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Bachelor degree.
  • Three to five years full-time institutional equity sales desk experience.
  • Sales experience in financial services.
  • Current employment at a brokerage firm a plus.
  • Tenacious, resilient and able to handle rejection.
  • High energy.
  • Enthusiastic about growth opportunities.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Creative skills to generate business.
  • Independent worker.
  • Active Series 7 and 63.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING ANALYST

THE ROLE

OTR Global, a financial information and data business, is seeking a smart, energetic individual to play a variety of roles within marketing and business development.

  • Working on marketing and client events within the firm. 
  • Business development role focused on data initiatives
  • Assisting with the project management launching new products to clients
  • Working with sales team on marketing topics
  • Some analysis of current business trends
  • Reporting directly to CEO and management on these roles
  • Some administrative  support components

PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Exciting position for a proactive, highly organized, energetic, and personable person who can handle multiple projects at a time and meet deadlines.
  • Recent undergraduate degree from strong academic school. MBA need not apply.
  • Strong technology skills with different tech platforms including Microsoft and Apple
  • Thorough and strong understanding of the Microsoft office suit.
  • Strong computer and internet research skills
  • One to two years of experience in business marketing environment
  • Strong work ethic with ability to find common sense solutions to challenges which may arise
  • Familiarity with various financial databases a plus
  • Displays effective written and oral communication skills with attention to detail
  • Marketing, financial and general business acumen required.
  • The ability to maintain a positive attitude, self-motivation and confidence.
  • Works independently with minimum supervision and has ability to take direction when given
  • Strong, pleasant personality with ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
  • Strong integrity and confidence
